This is a piece i did in my sculpture class made out of plaster. Its entitled "Hang Loose".
I choose to carve the "shaka sign" as simple reminder to myself to relax and stay calm. Inspired by a good friend of mine, Joshua Villanueva. Not to long ago, Josh's father passed away and moved back to Hawaii to take care of his family. I learned a lot from the homie while working with him out in Nebraska. He showed me a thing or two about life.
I dedicate this piece to him, his father and family.
